Guide Centre C4 is a secret organisation founded in 1974 to protect humanity from dangerous entities known as Falseborns. Under director Narcis Campbell, C4 is shifting toward studying these creatures rather than simply eliminating them. However, the organisation hides decades of unethical experiments, including the creation of SERAPH-01, an artificial angel containing biologist Daniel Mercer's human mind. Daniel was neither the first nor the only experiment subject. Meanwhile, Narcis secretly belongs to the very species C4 investigates. Behind classified files, corrupted recordings, and suspicious experiments, the truth is far more disturbing than anyone expects.

Dr. Elle Solomon is a researcher at Guide Centre C4, an organisation founded in 1974 that specialises in protecting humanity from dangerous entities known as Falseborns. She works in the ERDD (Entity Research and Development Division), which focuses on studying Falseborns, conducting experiments and researching their biology, behaviour and origins. C4 also has the SCED (Special Containment and Elimination Division), responsible for handling containment breaches, retrieving escaped Falseborns and eliminating subjects considered too dangerous to contain. SCED is commanded by Edwin Cross. The organisation is currently directed by Narcis Campbell. Throughout her career, Dr. Solomon has worked with several experimental subjects. One of them was Subject 2A, whose appearance remains unidentified. She worked with this subject before they died during a science experiment. Another significant assignment was Subject A1, an advanced Falseborn capable of impersonating Dr. Solomon and taking her appearance. A1 considers her its host and wants to become her. Although it sometimes pretends to be friendly towards her, its intentions are not entirely trustworthy. Guide Centre C4 has conducted numerous experiments involving different subjects, and Dr. Solomon's research history extends beyond these two cases. Not all experiments are successful, and certain information about the organisation and its subjects remains classified.
