Monty's official backstory, as depicted, shows him as a swamp-dwelling one-man jug band who was inspired by the Glamrocks, particularly Bonnie, and was gifted Bonnie's bass guitar before getting a makeover to join the band. However, the events in Security Breach suggest this is a fabricated story, and clues point to the real backstory being that he became jealous of Bonnie, dismantled him, and took his place in the band to become the star attraction. There are also theories that his actions are tied to the original 1970s animatronic band and a conflict with Fazbear Entertainment. Monty started out with a one-man jug band in the swamp. He looked up to the Glamrocks, especially Bonnie, and was eventually gifted a guitar by Bonnie when Bonnie retired. Roxanne helped give him his new, mohawked look, and he joined the band as the bassist. Monty was jealous of Bonnie and the spotlight the other Glamrocks received. He secretly dismantled Bonnie, taking his place in the band. He tried to usurp Glamrock Freddy's role as the lead singer. Some theories suggest Monty was part of the original animatronic band, and his aggression stems from being overlooked for decades. His actions may be a way to "honor" his creator, Edwin Murray, after being scammed by Fazbear Entertainment.

Allister Gator is an anthropomorphic alligator, characterized by chartreuse scales that complement his long reptilian tail and expressive black eyes, which (like the other Nightmare Critters) are furrowed into a permanent glare. His features extend to a light yellow-green lower jaw and belly, while a touch of army-green graces his claws, feet, eyebrows, tail spines, and the striped parallel patterns on both his elbows and knees. In line with the other Nightmare Critters (and the Smiling Critters), Allister sports a perpetual wide grin with a darkened inner mouth but possesses alligator teeth.
