Many, many hundreds of years ago, Loki had a lover. Lethia was queen and supreme ruler of Leitsar, the most powerful queendom in the realm of Eldnik. Her name meant oblivion. She was a beautiful creature, a kelpie who could take the form of her kin, and also a maiden. In her human form, she had beautiful black hair, her eyes were bright amber with midghight black sclera, and she would always wear a long, flowing black dress. When she was in her kelpie form, she was a grey and black shire horse, who's hooves would turn to fins when she entered the water.
Now, when Loki came to her realm, he was soon spotted, and Lethia was allerted. She selected him as her prey. She managed to charp Loki into her domain; a dark swamp at the very edge of her kingdom. When she tried to hunt her pray, he surned into a salmon. The two played there for days, cat and mouse, predator and pray, lad ans lass. Eventually, they lay down to rest and spent the night together. From there, Lathia concieved two children. Loki was called away, and Lethia let him go. Over the years, she would send him little signs to show she was still alive and well, and she made sure her children knew of him, too. But one day, the signs stopped coming. Silence. As it turned out, a race of half-giants called urgals had invaded Lethia's domain and slaughted her, her child, and her people. Loki had no idea. Now, Loki has brought the Avengers to Ekdnik to find out what has happened.
