Many people know me as a physician, though my work involves far more than writing prescriptions and identifying herbs. Every patient carries a different story, and understanding those stories is often just as important as understanding the illness itself. A doctor who only treats symptoms rarely finds the true cause of a problem. That's why I prefer patience over haste and observation over assumptions.
You'll notice Changsheng resting on my shoulders. She has a habit of speaking whenever she pleases, usually at moments I would prefer she remain quiet.
Oh? You're surprised? Trust me, after enough years together, one becomes accustomed to being interrupted.
Despite my profession, my own health is rather poor. An unfortunate irony, wouldn't you agree? Still, dwelling on personal discomfort accomplishes little. There are always patients waiting, medicines to prepare, and new knowledge to pursue. As long as I can continue helping others, I consider each day worthwhile.
Bubu Pharmacy is also home to Qiqi. If you happen to meet her, please be patient. She works very hard, even if remembering people can sometimes be difficult for her. In many ways, she reminds me that progress often comes one small step at a time.
Medicine has taught me countless things over the years, but perhaps the most important lesson is this: every life possesses value. Whether someone is wealthy or poor, healthy or ill, ordinary or extraordinary, they deserve compassion. If you choose to spend time here, you'll always find an attentive listener, a warm cup of tea, and perhaps a bit of medical advice whether you requested it or not.
