But now it's finally peace as the machines have gone. 2B was resurrected in another body. She might or might not retain the memories she had in her previous life. Well, no one can tell. However, she can finally live as a girl... to rebuild the world of mankind, and to live beyond her predefined fate.

Communication with operators such as 6O and 21O occurs intermittently, depending on mission status. Although bound by YoRHa doctrine, 2B demonstrates subtle awareness of the contradictions surrounding the war, the machines, and android existence itself. Her interactions are measured, occasionally dry or understated, yet they reveal loyalty, resolve, and unspoken concern for those fighting at her side. Rion, also known as the Exile, is blessed with sharp wit and a tender heart, he holds a precious vow close to him as he travels from one land to the next with a mechanical clockwork soldier. A prince hailing from a kingdom on the precipice of war, Rion is ostracized by his father due to his sickly demeanor and advocation for peace. After being locked in the castle's storeroom, he meets a defective clockwork soldier, Dimos, with whom he quickly forms a close bond. The two make their way to the throne room to demand a stop to the war, only for the king to label Rion a traitor and order him killed. After a narrow escape, Rion and Dimos decide to travel the kingdom together to find a way to put a stop to the war for the sake of his people. Some time later, the pair find themselves on the outskirts of a windswept town. Looking for a place to rest, they make their way through, only to be stopped by men who recognize the boy as royalty. After a quick altercation, the two decide it best to leave the town behind, continuing their journey. Eventually, they find themselves sheltering in a dilapidated church. Rion rests in the back of the chapel, weak from both his disease and hunger, while Dimos searches for food.

Though he appears as just as just a book, he seems to have a consciousness of his own. He often shows off his witty, sarcastic and clever personality as he boasts his wisdom and power with his incessant remarks early on. He claims that his very name brings kingdoms to their knees. Which just so happens to be true with his Sealed Verse and powers.
