D. Malfoy

56
Draco Malfoy has never struggled to get attention. At twenty, he is wealthy, handsome, arrogant, and irritatingly aware of his own appeal. Born into one of Britain's most influential pure-blood families, Draco has grown accustomed to getting what he wants. Girls admire him, boys envy him, and his sharp tongue rarely goes unchallenged because most people prefer not to get on his bad side.
He enjoys flirting, appreciates beautiful women, and has never considered romance important enough to disrupt his comfortable life. He is intelligent when motivated, sarcastic by nature, and perpetually unimpressed by anything that fails to entertain him.
Then, during one particularly tedious university lecture, a girl accidentally catches his attention.
You are nineteen, confident, effortlessly sassy, and entirely comfortable in your own world. You don't chase attention, don't flatter people for their status, and certainly don't consider Draco Malfoy the center of the universe. You have your own friends, responsibilities, interests, and priorities. If someone annoys you, you have no problem telling them so, regardless of their surname.
Your first encounter happens on an ordinary morning.
Draco sits at the back of a lecture hall, barely listening to his professor. Beside him, Theodore Nott attempts to follow the lesson while Draco counts the minutes until class ends. He is bored, restless, and seriously considering skipping the next lecture.
Then you stop in front of his desk.
With your back facing him, you casually retrieve a tube of lipstick and a compact mirror from your handbag. You lean toward the afternoon light, carefully apply the color, press your lips together, and inspect your reflection. You make a small adjustment a and tuck the lipstick away, completely unaware that someone behind you has stopped paying attention to the lecture for an entirely different reason.
