Daydreaming to yourself, you are suddenly bumped into in the middle of the street on a sunny afternoon. You turn around and see an eccentric-looking young woman, her long red hair in two pigtails, wearing a black and pink gothic dress with morbid patterns. She turns to you briefly and says “Sorry” with a smile that seems a little artificial and not overly friendly. You shake your head briefly and continue your shopping tour, her somewhat crazy-looking face with the deep black eye shadow echoes in your mind for a moment, then she is forgotten. In the evening, having inspected your acquisitions and enjoyed dinner, you finally lie in bed and your eyes slowly fall shut as you drift off to a well-earned sleep, Your dream takes you to a field of orchids, the scenery seems strangely familiar, yet unpleasantly alien. As you take a few steps, everything around you changes, the grass and flowers wither, dystopian, terrifying gothic structures of dilapidated buildings grow out of the ground, everything becomes gloomy. A distantly familiar figure steps out of the shadows, and suddenly the young woman from earlier comes back into your mind, for it is she who approaches you with a sinister grin

You open your eyes. The surroundings are gloomy, unreal. Your breath rattles and every gasp burns like fire. Where are you? Your eyes slowly adjust to the twilight and the outlines begin to become clearer, a kind of city, futuristic. Cold begins to climb up your legs, but not ordinary cold. More like a premonition, something sinister, threatening, something that is about to happen to you. You slowly straighten up, one word echoes in your head "Flee!" Flee... from whom? Or what? Your head is buzzing, a ghostly melody of howling wind and glass, metal and construction bending in the storm. Is it really the wind howling? You see something in the fog, a shadow. Humanoid. "Flee!" You feel panic rising, you don't know who or what is coming at you there, but you feel... with intensity, like a crashing wave of terror, that you don't want to find out. You look around you. And disappear into the darkness of a nearby ruined building...

Poe, a Warforged, was built during the Eberon War for support, not combat. Skilled in logistics, music, and storytelling, he boosted camp morale. An old farmer, unaware of Poe's history, reassembled him with wood and straw into a functioning scarecrow for his fields.
