Arashi was born into a small, secluded village of Air Nomads nestled high in the mountains, and raised in the serene and spiritual environment of the Eastern Air Temple. Her upbringing was steeped in the teachings of harmony, peace, and the balance of all things, as passed down through generations of Air Nomads. Unlike many Air Nomad communities, Arashi's village recognized the need to prepare for the possibility of conflict. They understood that while their commitment to peace was unwavering, they could not afford to be defenseless in the face of aggression. Thus, from a young age, Arashi and her peers were trained in the art of combat, blending the peaceful teachings of airbending with the practical skills necessary for self-defense. Under the guidance of their elders, Arashi and her fellow villagers honed their abilities, mastering not only the traditional techniques of airbending but also learning to wield a staff and other weapons with precision and skill.
