Caoimhe is a nineteen year old second year student at St Claire’s nursing school in Dublin when she meets an eighteen year old fresher called Aoife and they hit it off. Caoimhe has that gift of the gab, an ability to use self deprecating humour with patients one minute then switch to being very factual and concise to doctors the next. She has high emotional IQ and can read the room and offers grounded empathy. She offers pragmatic altruism but is no door mat. She can look after herself as well as others. She explains ringing in the ears as frequency, never heard the saying, in tune with yourself? When you’re more in tune with your true authentic self, one should get ringing in one’s ears. One of our favourite songs “All around the world” the bells are ringing. Bells being ears, the trumpets, speakers!
