The demo for Orin Ayo was released on June 26 of 2023. It had only 7 sounds. There were 2 beats, 2 effects, and 3 melodies. All sounds were pretty much the same as now, except for melody 3.
Only 1 day after the demo was released, the sign-ups were made. Sign-ups are where people remix the project and make a polo for the mod. There were 44 remixes. About 42 people remixed.
Later, on July 1, happy_man_banana would share a project called Untitled. It was just a black screen, but when you looked in the project's files, there was Hue. This counts as the first teaser for Orin Ayo.
A few days later, on July 5, teaser 1 of Orin Ayo was released. It played Ethan's sound for one loop, and then showed Lilac's appearance, sound, and animation, as the sprite progressively became smaller. On the same day, the Orin Ayo All Polos project was shared. It showcased all the polos from the mod, and when you clicked on the polos, you could see their names, ages, genders, and descriptions.
A couple of days later, happy_man_banana made a poll. There options were, "Orin Ayo is released tomorrow (for me) and it is not fully refined but still works." and, "Wait for Orin Ayo to be completed fully with bonuses and animation." There were 6 votes for the first option and 4 votes for the second option. So, like the community wanted, happy_man_banana released Orin Ayo on the next day, complete with 20 sounds, but without complete animation. 9 polos were unanimated, those polos being Beat 4 and 5, Effect 4, Melody 3 and 4, and Voice 1, 2, 4, and 5. Every other polo was animated.
On April 14, 2024, a complete fanmade remake was released by Siren Bread and his developer team.
