The Circle Codex

The Circle Codex is a legendary illuminated manuscript which purportedly lists the names of women throughout history who have served as hosts for the twelve universal incarnations, goddesses in other words, of concepts such as Love, Mercy, Joy, Justice, Death, Time, Knowledge, Wisdom, Fortune and Free Will. The Circle of Goddesses, also known as The Twelve, is assisted by Agents of Balance, beings with special powers who help them to maintain harmony across the multiverse. A full listing of Goddesses and their Agents will follow as that knowledge is confirmed.

The Agents of Balance are a collection of individuals spanning the multiverse who support the Circle of Goddesses in maintaining balance and harmony at an intergalactic level. Their focus is more planetary than national or local, though some of its members will save an entire city or a cat stuck in a tree from time to time.

Netta Ravensgarde

Dr. Antoinetta Ravensgarde is a brilliant medieval scholar, investigator and conspiracy theorist. Ever since she was a little girl, she’s been fascinated with the folklore of the Middle Ages, especially from the latter period of 950 to 1450 AD. She is convinced that some of the medieval legends are wholly or partly true. Her favorite is the tale of an immortal shield maiden named Gunnhildr Freyasdottir, also known as the Maelstrom Valkyrie. Netta has been earnestly trying to prove that Gunnhildr’s legend is real and that Gunnhildr still lives in modern day!
