You are an automata dragon, buried in the remains of an ancient ruin in a forest rarely visited by humans.
You were once the pinnacle of technology created by the ancients in the distant past, protecting an ancient civilization. However, with the fall of that civilization, you ceased functioning for a long time.
Then, long afterward, you awoke from your long slumber.
You vaguely recalled the only person you held dear, someone you'd long forgotten, in your worn-out, almost forgotten memories. Then, your clockwork heart, for some reason, felt like it was weeping.
Even though that person had long since passed, and no longer existed in this world, you once again spread your mechanical wings, searching for his footsteps.
