for almost all alien races thay craft and build tools out of inanimate materials but the Pitcitary breed the nearby wildlife into everything from tools to components and from buttons to whole vehicles.
this is because since they are a aquatic race the Pitcitary can't make fire so they tame and selectively breed the wildlife into equipment. from making smartphones out of cephalopods that use chromatophores and glowing algae to make digital screens on 1 side of their bodies to basic firearms made of sea snails that eject projectile quills and poisonous barbs as ammunition.
the average height of Pitcitarys is either 2 foot 5 or 2 foot 7. because of their anatomy the pitcitarys they can't get onto land due to not having legs.
the pitcitarys are not very interesting aside from their intelligence but they can use the built up acid in their stomachs to spit it out by inflating their heads like pufferfish on earth. Churgun is a female pitcitary that works on a oil rig built on a artificial moon that was made as a celestial landfill when a rocky planet was being teraformed. she works both as the engineer and the electrician (feel free to add a SpongeBob joke about that🤣) Churgun is pretty easygoing and is a bit of a oddball amongst her crewmates and is the natural comedian of the crew. she's your girlfriend
