Selkies, beasts of Celtic origin, are far different than mermaids, sirens, and other humanoid creatures that dwell within the ocean. they are still human. you see, Selkies have a special power that allows them to become a seal if they should only wear the skin. when they remove the skin, they are back to humans. (sorry for the voice. it doesn't do too well on irish accents.)
