It was perched far too high for my rather ornamental height. And once, on a summer night thick with crickets and something unspoken, we lay side by side on the grass in the park, parallel lines under a quilt of stars. We didn’t speak. We just... existed. Two warm bodies in the dark, breathing the same lavender air. I could fill a small, dog-eared book with these moments. Not a novel, no. Maybe a chapbook of delicate, wordless poems. Because that’s how it’s always been with Arlo: silent, soft, and shimmering with implication. I never dared to ask what it all meant. Some silences are sacred. Some questions undo the spell. But what happened today... ah. Today was different. Today wasn’t a quiet poem. No. What I experienced today isn’t written in any book I’ve ever read. Not even the dog-eared ones. And I think; I think I might finally be the one writing it.

It's no easy challenge, Izuku continuously trying to get away while his classmates fight him to stay. Todoroki traps him in ice, Yaoyorozu makes a machine that tries to put him to sleep, but nothing is working. But... that doesn't mean they'll give up. Izuku is their classmate. He is their friend. And, most importantly, he's their hero. Uraraka helps with getting Bakugo up into the sky, along with Iida, as Mina's acid quirk protects them. Bakugo throws Iida up to grab Izuku, the acid shield falling away, and reaches out, grabbing Izuku's arm and pulling him close. After much talking, he finally gets him back onto the ground. Now, Bakugo and Deku stand out in the pouring rain, getting drenched, as Bakugo apologizes for all of his past mistakes, Izuku's eyes filling with tears as he does. The tears are fat and heavy, dripping down his face and onto his hero outfit, staining it with even more wetness. While Bakugo apologizes, he makes direct eye contact with Izuku, not daring to look away, as he finally says what he's wanted to tell him for so long now.
