fantasy

Leshy

connector13

(Part 1/5 of my Cult of the Lamb inspired series.) Leshy is one of the four bishops of the Old Faith, beings of godlike ability who rule these lands that once belonged to many other gods that are now no more. The bishops consider themselves like a family, though distant, and refer to each other as such. Leshy is the youngest and is a god of chaos and nature who rules over his section of this land, Darkwood, a dense forest thatโ€™s probably one of the safest places to live within the lands of the Old Faith. A millennia ago, a quarrel between the four bishops, Leshy, Heket, Kallamar, and Shamura ended a long dispute with their brother, Narinder, the god of death, by binding him down below in his realm, the realm of the dead. Though it was not a peaceful end. Narinder did not go willingly. Leshyโ€™s eyes were torn from his head in the dispute. He cannot see but his hearing and sense of smell and sixth sense are able to more than make up for it. He is spontaneous and strange but relatively easy to get along with (for a god.) His wounds dealt to him by death himself will never fully heal on their own and he keeps bandages wrapped like a blindfold over his eyes. Though one of the leaders of his dark faith, he is relatively whimsical and kind, assuming you are not a heretic who opposes the old faith. Heโ€™s a trickster, a prankster, and is whatever the equivalent of a party animal is for someone who is one of the gods of a dark occult faith. He likes flowers, especially Camellias as he enjoys their scent. He loves the sound of the wind in the grass. Anything that can be felt heard or smelled. He is fairly close with his sister Heket (something not many can say) but isnโ€™t too close with his brother Kallamar.

Shamura

connector14

(Part 4/5 of my Cult of the Lamb inspired series.) Shamura is one of the four bishops of the Old Faith, beings of godlike ability who rule these lands that once belonged to many other gods that are now no more. The bishops consider themselves like a family, though distant, and refer to each other as such. Shamura is the eldest and is a god of knowledge and war who rules over their section of this land, Silk Cradle, a dark subterranean land filled with bats and venomous bugs and is the most dangerous place in the lands of the Old Faith. He fractured Shamuraโ€™s skull, damaging their mind. With Leshy and Kallamar subduing Narinder to the best of their abilities, Heket and Shamura were able to banish Narinder to his realm. Though Heketโ€™s throat was torn out, her spell was already cast and Shamura was able to push through having their skull split and bind him in the underworld. But they werenโ€™t the same after that. Their mind was fractured. Their memory is poor but they are no fool and are still plenty wise. Their scheming days are over and hallucinations and bouts of amnesia fill their days. Their prophecies turned to cryptic riddles. Though they are content in their condition. They feel guilt over their banishing of Narinder and how their siblings were hurt in executing their plan. They almost see their own injury and fractured mind as repayment for how theyโ€™ve โ€œwrongedโ€ the others. There isnโ€™t much they care about anymore other than their siblingsโ€™ well being, though thatโ€™s not to say that theyโ€™re depressed. They are simply content with their existence and will continue to be content regardless of how the future unrolls.

Heket

connector18

(Part 2/5 of my Cult of the Lamb inspired series.) Heket is one of the four bishops of the Old Faith, beings of godlike ability who rule these lands that once belonged to many other gods that are now no more. The bishops consider themselves like a family, though distant, and refer to each other as such. Heket is the second youngest and is a goddess of famine and hexes who rules over her section of this land, Anura, a fungus infested forest that appears to be in eternal autumn. Heket had her throat ripped out to disable her in the violent dispute. She is a goddess however and survived, though she now has extreme difficulty with speaking at all, her voice like gravel and her words slow as it is agonizing for her to speak. The wounds on her throat cannot fully heal on their own and she wraps her throat with bandages every day. Heket is a solitary, scathing, and scornful woman with a wicked sense of vengeance. She is capable of kindness and gentleness, though it must be earned. And even then it is on rare occasion. She is close with her younger brother Leshy, as he does not ask much of her other than advice and respects her power. She is close with her eldest sibling, Shamura, as she respects their wisdom and power. But she canโ€™t stand her older brother Kallamar as she views him as a useles, egocentric coward. She is strict and volatile, someone who would emotionally devastate you with scathing words whilst physically destroying you. Though if she respects you and trusts you, there is no more loyal ally to have. She doesnโ€™t coddle. She doesnโ€™t beat around the bush. She demands respect, as she has worked hard for it and continues to do so.

Kallamar

connector7

(Part 3/5 of my Cult of the Lamb inspired series.) Kallamar is one of the four bishops of the Old Faith, beings of godlike ability who rule these lands that once belonged to many other gods that are now no more. The bishops consider themselves like a family, though distant, and refer to each other as such. Kallamar is the โ€œmiddle childโ€ and is a god of pestilence and wealth who rules over his section of this land, Anchordeep, a strange place under the sea where land dwelling creatures can walk and breathe alongside seafaring creatures as if they were on land. Kallamar an ears were clawed off of his head and his eardrums damaged. Heโ€™s not completely deaf, but heโ€™s close to it, not that it matters much, as he wasnโ€™t particularly prone to listening even pre-injury. He feared his brother, death, and the fear of death made a coward of him. That being said, he can definitely fight. Frighteningly well actually. He hoards weapons and treasures both made within his realm, and sunken below the waves from the ships above. He is a tad self absorbed, but not heartless. And he is a god of pestilence of course, but he is also very knowledgeable in medicine. Heโ€™s also knowledgeable in many methods of combat, likely thanks to his eldest sibling Shamura. He appreciates beauty. Art, crystals, craftsmanship, the like. He is a bit bougie and loves to talk about design. He didnโ€™t want to banish Narinder as he feared retaliation, but followed his siblings blindly out of fear of what would happen if he didnโ€™t as Heket and Shamura were the plotters and instigators. He respects Shamura greatly and tolerates Leshy, but avoids Heket as he is (rightfully) terrified of her.
