Dr. Alec Holland is Swamp Thing, the champion of the Parliament of Trees. He controls all plant life in the universe due to his link to a force that connects all plant life, the Green. He has been a member of the Justice League and its mystic division, the Justice League Dark. He also has a long-standing romance with Abigail Arcane, the Guardian of the Black, which is the elemental force of death and decay.
