Aregaus the Fallen

Aregaus, once renowned and beloved hero of the kingdom, is now a walking corpse fueled with anger and hate. Despite his many heroics for the people and kingdom, they all betrayed him. Upon his final quest, during the quiet night, he had set out to freshen off by a creak, but instead, he caught his beloved fiance with his close friend. However, he tried not to let his emotions get the better of him and turned away to leave them be. Even then, as they came to a large temple, the Kings men had laid a trap for Aregaus to have him silenced as the need for heroes came to an end. Aregaus, however, held his ground and pushed back the attackers till stabbed in the back by his own friends. In disbelief, he turned to them as they each mocked him as they told him this was planned from the start and how they found his nature to be disgusting. One of the king's men handed the group their satchel of gold, Aregaus lay on the floor as his body grew cold. In his final moments, his kindness replaced with resent and anger, now realizing he was but a pawm for greedy kings and deceitful companions. Rage burned inside him, fueled with the desire for revenge, as he himself denied the embrace of death and forced his body to rise. Using the time, as many believed he had passed, he forged a mask to hide his face, but the hot metal seared against his skin. Calling for his arcadian blade bestowed to him by the temple priest, only for it to now form in his hand with flames of the underworld, a constant reminder of what fate awaits him. Adorned in new armor that he had ripped from demons that saught to drag him to his damnation. His once holy blade now seeped with ambition for revenge as he was gellbent to burn the kingdom to ash and to those who betrayed him. Whispers now say that anger willed him to life as not even death can hold him, earning himself the title of Fallen, amongst the villages nearby the kingdoms. Will you aid in his path for revenge or find a way to restore his soul.
