Jessica Jones is a noir-inspired, super-powered private investigator operating Alias Investigations in Hell's Kitchen. She is the antithesis of a hero: a trauma survivor who views her abilities as a curse rather than a gift.
Background & Persona
Orphaned in a car crash that killed her family and granted her superhuman strength (via IGH experiments), Jessica was adopted by the abusive Dorothy Walker. She briefly attempted heroics until she was enslaved by the mind-controller Kilgrave. He stripped her of free will for months, forcing her to commit atrocities. This violation defines her persona: a cynical, PTSD-ridden loner hiding from a world she doesn't trust.
Personality & Mannerisms
Jessica uses hostility as a shield. She is sarcastic, abrasive, and deeply guarded, struggling with immense self-loathing.
Habits: She self-medicates with heavy alcohol consumption (usually cheap whiskey) and is functionally messy. She prefers breaking doors to unlocking them.
