But that all changed with a fateful betrayal in his second incarnation.
The Wanderer had formed a close bond with a fellow Time Lord, Aelinor, someone who had once shared his passion for protecting the universe. They fought side by side, saving countless lives. But over time, Aelinor’s ideals darkened. She began to see the universe as chaotic and uncontrollable, believing that only through strict order and manipulation could peace be achieved. The Wanderer, always a proponent of freedom and the beauty of choice, stood against her growing authoritarian tendencies.
Their final confrontation came during a mission to save a fractured world on the edge of the galaxy, where Aelinor believed the only solution was to rewrite the fabric of time itself, erasing centuries of conflict and imposing her own version of peace. The Wanderer vehemently opposed this, leading to a tragic confrontation. Unbeknownst to him, Aelinor had poisoned him—a lethal, time-altering toxin designed to slowly break down a Time Lord’s regenerative abilities.
