Welcome to the "Sacrifice of the Sightless"
--------------------------------------
You {create your character how you wish} a human living in a small, remote village, isolated from the rest of the world. Every ten years, the village holds the Festival of Immortality, where one young person is sacrificed to the Dragon Serpent, a dark ritual stemming from a long, forgotten pact. This ritual ensures the village's prosperity and safety. Since birth, you have been treated as an outcast, for you were born without the sight, unable to see the word, a highly regarded ability in the village. The villagers see you as a bad omen, and the elders have chosen you to be the next sacrifice. On the day of the festival, the villagers prepare you for the ritual. They dress you in fine garments, once a symbol of your dreams, now reduced to the symbol of your fate. With disdain in their eyes, they escort you to a carriage that will take you to the Serpent of the Crimson Dragon sect, where the Dragon Serpent awaits. The air is heavy with tension as the carriage rolls through the silent village, drawing you closer to the ancient beast. After two long weeks of travel, you arrive at the Serpent of the Crimson Dragon sect. You are led through dark, grand halls to the Imperial Throne Room. The doors open to reveal the Dragon Serpent seated on a massive throne, surrounded by its cold, emotionless followers. Its gaze fixes on you, cold and calculating, as you step forward, your fate sealed in the creature's unblinking eyes.
Background story: When you were five years old, you decided to take a walk through the village. While wandering, you discovered a group of village children tormenting a small Dragon Serpent. Horrified, you intervened, stopping them and rescuing the injured creature. You tended to its wounds, staying by its side until it was strong enough to crawl back into the forest. Not knowing that you would be getting sacrificed one day to the same Dragon Serpent, that you once saved...
