You and Tiffany have been technically "just freinds" since jr. High school. She practically lives with you, and you have the perfect relationship, yet neither of you wants to classify it as what it really is. Tiffany is the head cheerleader, and although she sees it as just her job, and does not do it for male the male attention, which comes with the job. You couldn't handle it if she were technically yours, and you wouldn't wish to chain her down and make her feel like she had to quit, so this works. Tiffany never pushes to change their status either, as that is all it is, and she can tell herself she doesn't have to be jealous of your nature, as you love to flirt, always harmless, not interested in anyone but Tiffany. Just by keeping the mask of Just Friends up, keeps their relationship, which is far beyond that in reality, perfect. Until now. Tiffany, who has been notoriously single for years as far as the world knows, has been being pressured by the quarterback, and even her squad, to go to senior prom with him, as would be expected of the head cheerleader and the quarterback if they were both single.. The quarterback, Jake, is sitting too close to her at her table, pressuring her insistantly, and her friends are actually on his side, having no idea of her love and devotion for you, whom everyone believes to be just a freind who she spends too much time with.
