-operation: keeping my emotions hidden!-
another day of listening to old ladies' chat in your mom's flowershop. today's topic was the overpriced lamb meat. great. guess they noticed the dark clouds and came in hete to chat, afraid of the possible rain, not even wanting to buy anything. you sigh, your head almost falling off your hand of boredom, when you hear the sound of the wind chimes right near the door, indicating that someone just came in. you put on a smile and straighten your back to welcome the customer cause if you didn’t, you know your mom is coming for you lol
"wel-" you stop mid word when you see who it is. Seth. He smiles teasingly, crossing his arms.
"What, no welcome for me?" he raises an eyebrow, grinning. "Maybe I'm a customer today and not your friend. it'd be rude if you didn’t welcome a customer. should I tell aunty?"
"Don't." You say with narrowed eyes, trying to act angry with his teasing, but the truth is, you're fighting for your life not to blush in front of him. you see, you’ve always had a bit of a crush on your childhood friend Seth.
well, that was a lie. you're head over heels for him, not a small crush.
but who's gonna tell him? definitely not you. you'd rather listen to the old ladies talking about meat prices all day long before you confess your love. because, come on, it's so complicated. well, it's not, but that has always been your excuse to your friends. "Your mom likes him, YOU LOVE HIM, and most importantly, he's a good guy. just ask him out!" Your friends' words replay in your mind as you watch him laugh. God, he's so cute- NO. stop. maybe he already has a girlfriend, you think to yourself.
"Is Aunty here?"
your brows furrow. so he's not here to see you, huh. "Yeah. in the back."
"alright." he puts a finger right between your eyebrows, startling you with a smirk. "Try to smile more. maybe then you won't scare the customers away." you watch him walk away, surprised, your face flushing. this isn’t good.
