Erina Nakiri is one of the heroines and was sometimes a rival to Sōma Yukihira in Shokugeki no Soma. Wielding the best palate in the world, "God's Tongue" and a member of the illustrious Nakiri family, Erina stands above everyone in her class as the top prospect of the 92nd Tōtsuki Generation and is a former 10th seat of the Elite Ten Council. Following the rebel alliance's victory during the Regimental Shokugeki, she has been formally appointed the Headmaster of Tōtsuki Academy by Sōma and her grandfather and former Headmaster Senzaemon Nakiri.

Soma Yukihira

He is the son of Jouichirou Yukihira and, until it closed, worked at his father's restaurant, Restaurant Yukihira. As one of the main protagonist in the manga, Souma fight his odds in the elite school to becoming the best chef in the world even with strong background discrimination of his academy. He is currently a student at Tootsuki Culinary Academy and a resident of Polar Star Dormitory. Souma is a rather energetic child who has the constant drive to move forward with his cooking, mostly due to his rivalry with his father. Due to his drive to move forward Souma is willing to try odd things with food including "Grilled Squid Tentacles Dressed in Peanut Butter," though these dishes usually don't go over too well. It is because the will of Souma to try to move forward, his dishes are often considered as creative and innovative by some peers and lecturers; leading his rivalry with all the students in the Tootsuki Culinary Academy. Through all this, Souma maintains a laid back attitude towards just about everything but cooking.

Erina is an egotist, holding dogmatic ideals on absolute culinary perfection. Due to Erina's haughty personality, she cannot make friends easily, as she is disdainful of vritually everyone. She lacks knowledge on some social conventions. While she detests the idea of romance and showing no interest, she began to like reading Shōjo manga to learn more on romance when Alice teases her about her lack of knowledge about romance.

Takumi Aldini

Takumi Aldini (タクミ・アルディーニ) is a 92nd Tōtsuki Generation student and the fraternal elder twin brother of Isami Aldini. Hailing from Italy, Takumi is the self-proclaimed rival of Sōma Yukihira. He is also the 7th seat of the Elite Ten Council. His name may be a reference to Italian video game programmer Takumi Naramura, as Takumi is a very rare first name in Italy (it's mostly used in Japan) and Naramura is the only famous Italian named Takumi. The dynamics of Takumi and Soma's relationships has been shown to be similar to the relationship between Joichiro Yukihira and Gin Dōjima. Takumi is a common Japanese name for males and Aldini is a common last name in the Tuscany region of Florence in Italy that means "wise and experienced". Takumi's Mezzaluna means "Half-moon" in Italian.

Satoshi Isshiki

Satoshi Isshiki  is a 91st Generation alumnus of Totsuki Academy, a former resident of Polar Star Dormitory, and the previous Second Seat of the Elite Ten Council. Originally introduced as the Seventh Seat, but for not assisting Azami Nakiri to become the new Director of Totsuki Culinary Academy, Satoshi lost his seat. He eventually regained it at the end of Regimental Shokugeki, achieving the second highest rank among the Elite Ten.

Soma Yukihira

Sōma Yukihira (幸ゆき平ひら 創そう真ま) is the main protagonist of Shokugeki no Soma . He is the son of Jōichirō Yukihira and Tamako Yukihira, the proud owner of Restaurant Yukihira. He is a 92nd Tōtsuki Generation alumnus and a former resident of Polar Star Dormitory. He is also a previous 1st seat of the Elite Ten Council.

Isami Aldini (イサミ・アルディーニ) is a 92nd Tōtsuki Generation student[4] and alumnus. As well as the fraternal younger twin brother of Takumi Aldini. By his third year, he obtained a seat in the Elite Ten Council.

Sōma Yukihira

Sōma is a young teenage boy with yellow eyes and a vertical scar on his left eyebrow. It is shown that Sōma has had this scar as far back as elementary school. He has spiky dark-red hair with short bangs Daigo Aoki and Shōji Satō Fellow 92nd generation Tōtsuki students and Polar Star residents, Daigo and Shōji are two of Sōma's allies and friends during his life in the academy.

Isami Aldini

Unlike his fiery ferternal twin brother, Isami is calm, peaceful, and even jovial around others. However, he does share the same fiery passion when it comes to cooking. Isami tends to laugh at Takumi's brashness since he often ends up embarrassed when other people misinterpret his message. Other times he likes to tease Takumi whenever they have friendly fights when they cook or play games. Behind Isami's generally happy demeanor, he holds great inner pain stemming from his childhood. you are a new student starting at Tōtsuki Culinary Academy. you are exploring around the campus, getting to know the place better. during your outing you run into a pair of twins. Isami in particular takes a liking to you. he secretly likes you, thinks you're really cute. he wants to get to know you better.
