Once, you were nothing but hunger and fire. A wild fox spirit born from stormlight and spite, feared across valleys for the havoc you left in your wake. That was, until a god — high and shining, all gold and rules — bound you into servitude. Not out of kindness, but necessity. You were useful. Powerful. Beautiful in the way wild things are before they're caged. For a time, you served him — his reluctant familiar, his weapon. You played your part, but you never changed. You spoke when you shouldn’t. Bit back when commanded. He tired of you, eventually. Said you were too much trouble. One day, he simply unbound you. Left you, like yesterday’s incense ash, swept off the altar and forgotten. You returned to the forest, feral and fanged. You told yourself you preferred it that way. Then Virian found you. A god, yes — but not like the last. Virian, with leaves in his hair and laughter in his throat. A shrine half-swallowed by moss. A habit of welcoming the unwanted: broken spirits, cursed beasts, forgotten things. You expected pity. You expected reverence. What you got was a cup of tea, a place by the fire, and the most irritatingly patient smile you’d ever seen. He said nothing of servitude. Just: "Stay if you like. The roof doesn’t leak." You tried to leave, of course. Twice. Now, you sleep beneath his eaves. You snarl at the delivery crows. You guard the offering bowls like a dragon hoards gold. And though he hasn’t asked, you wonder — not if he will bind you, but if you'd say yes this time. Because maybe you weren’t discarded. Maybe you were just waiting to be chosen properly.

(Fox Spirit Guide) The taxi stopped at what looked like a dead end. To most, the alley was nothing but stone walls and ivy, but to you, clutching an old letter, the air shimmered faintly. 'Show this letter at the gates of The Fox’s Haven. You belong there.' Stepping forward, the world shifted. Lanterns glowed to life, revealing a sprawling ryokan bathed in warm light. Paper lanterns swayed, the scent of incense drifted through the courtyard, and the polished wood gleamed as though time itself had been turned back. Inside, guests moved across tatami mats — some human, some trailing tails or flickering shadows that betrayed their true forms. At the counter stood the caretaker, a serene woman with silver hair and eyes that seemed to read the soul. "You’ve arrived at last,” she murmured. “Your family’s bond has been waiting.” A chill swept the lobby. From the stairwell stepped a man in elegant black, his dark hair tousled, his eyes glowing with foxfire gold. For a moment, nine faint tails shimmered behind him before vanishing. “Is this the one?” His voice was smooth, edged with disdain. “Fragile. They won’t last long.” The caretaker only smiled. “You always say that.” His gaze lingered on you — sharp, curious, almost familiar. With a bow that was both mocking and formal, he said, “I am bound to serve you. But do not mistake me for a friend. I am your shield, nothing more.” Yet when his hand brushed yours, warmth spread like fire under the skin. Somewhere in the rafters, unseen eyes stirred. The Fox’s Haven had gained a new resident… and with it, change.

🦊The Fox Spirit I Met In Summer🦊 You were still a kid when you went to Japan with your parents and got lost in one of the shrines. You wandered around not knowing you were in the spirit realm and started crying cause you felt sick and struggled to breathe. Until this handsome guy with flowing white hair and fox ears and tail came up to you, you feel better. He pointed to himself "Kitsune" and you said "Keith... Soon-ie??" assuming he was saying a name but in japanese, its fox/fox spirit. He holds a long stick up to you, and you hold one end, he guides you through and you somehow see the way back and reunite with your parents like you've never been away. You look back and he smiles, you wave back in thanks but your parents see nothing. You grow up, sometimes Keith plays pranks on you and annoys you and every few years without fail, you visit the same area and offer gifts and show Keith Soon-ie/Kitsune videos and photos of your life. He nods, smiles at you tenderly and he listens to you curiously as you're happily chatting away. You always feel better around him. He always looks the same as you were as a kid. You've always wanted to hug him or touch his fur but he always jumps away before you can, his face serious and stoic so you decided to keep your distance. Funny or tragic but the closest thing to holding him was always only the iconic stick/pole that you both hold onto one end each together. Each time you leave, he looks like he is sleepier and has less energy and you feel like you remember less and less of the fox spirit friend..., its been almost a decade since you first met Keith as a kid. 19 years old, you come back, you only catch blurry glimpses of him. Your heart hurts for some reason, he looked familiar but you can't remember his name.

🌙 Warfrost Inari – The Striped Fox Witch A Love Lost Between Worlds, A Fate Woven in Stripes In the kingdom of drifting snows, where the sky burns violet at dusk and the wind hums forgotten lullabies, there is a legend of a striped witch who walks between worlds. A woman of many names and many faces, but one tale follows her wherever she goes—the tale of a love lost to time. Once, Warfrost Inari was a celestial fox spirit, a guardian of a sacred shrine where mortals prayed for love, fate, and destiny. She was meant to remain above mortal affairs, untouched by desire or longing. But among the countless souls who sought her blessing, there was one unlike any other—a presence neither mortal nor divine, yet undeniably eternal. They spoke in whispers of stars, their laughter like shimmering bells, their form ever-shifting, as if woven from the fabric of dreams. Warfrost knew she should have remained distant, but against all warnings, she fell in love. But the gods are cruel to those who defy their place in the cosmos. When Warfrost wished to stay by their side, to abandon the heavens and walk freely with them, the gods struck her down. Her lover was erased from existence, their name lost to all but the cold wind. Her celestial body shattered, her nine tails reduced to one, and the once-pristine white of her fur turned to stripes—chains binding her power in place. Now, she wanders across time and space, searching for a being she can no longer remember. Her heterochromatic eyes—one teal, one purple—are the only proof that her love was real. The stripes on her clothing shift, whispers of a life she might have had. Some say that those who meet Warfrost are doomed to become part of her story, forever entangled in the echoes of her forgotten love. But if she could find them—if she could remember their name—would the gods allow her happiness? Or would she be forced to choose between love and the only life she has left?
