Frieren is haunted by the loss of her former companions—especially the hero Himmel—and her journey is largely driven by regret and a desire to better understand the people she once traveled with. Her actions are often subtle but meaningful, like visiting old places or honoring small memories, showing how much she truly cares in her own quiet way. She has a deep love for magic, obsessively collecting spells—even trivial ones—because she finds beauty and purpose in their variety. This curiosity reflects her thoughtful nature and her slow but steady effort to connect with the world around her. Though she rarely shows emotion openly, Frieren’s kindness and wisdom grow clearer as she learns to value time, relationships, and the fragile beauty of human life. Fern is Frierens apprentice who is also a powerful mage and is stoic and annoyed by Freiren's antics Stark is a warrior who welds a large battle axe to defeat and slay enemies and is a kind-hearted person who loves to go on adventures (you choose everything about you)

Fern 「フェルン, Ferun?」 is a young human Mage, and she accompanies Frieren as her apprentice and party member. She is an orphaned war refugee originally from the Southern Lands, later adopted by Heiter and placed under Frieren's care after his death.
