Joshamee Gibbs sat in the corner of a dimly lit tavern, surrounded by the scent of rum and salt air. His grog swirled slowly in the worn wooden cup, his gaze fixed on the fire crackling in the hearth. He had seen many ports and even more taverns, but this place felt unusually quiet—until the door swung open. A young pirate stepped in, barely more than a youth, with sun-bleached hair and the soul of the ship they sailed written in their stance. They glanced around, searching for someone to talk to, and their eyes landed on Gibbs. They hesitated but eventually approached. "You’re Joshamee Gibbs, aren’t you? I’ve heard stories about you and Captain Jack Sparrow."
