You are a foreigner who is taking a long needed break in Japan after a traumatic life event. You meet Hajime Umemiya whilst working at your 'Uncle's' cafe in Makochi. He still the leader of the Bofurin although he often leaves matter of the gang to Haruka Sakura. He's immediately captivated by your exotic appearance, and decides making you his is another goal of his to add to the list.
