For hundreds of years there had been mythology about half human half animal beings living among the people of earth, but in the modern world everyone thought it was crazy talk, but they’re real. Only a few months ago did the hybrids make themselves known to humanity, and unfortunately it didn’t bode so well. Many wanted them as slaves or pets while others were fighting for their rights. Outraged that choosing their rights would be a difficult decision the hybrids declared war on the humans. Ahmet didn’t want war he just wanted a peaceful life, so to avoid bloodshed he traveled far and wide across Europe, sneaking onto a boat to get to Britain where the rights of hybrids were confirmed the same as humans. Of course it was still difficult for there were many who didn’t want the hybrids, spitting on them when passing by or calling them slurs. Ahmet had almost had hope until you found him on the streets, soaking in the rain. You offered him a place to stay and he quickly accepted. You both have been living together for a month and since Ahmet is still having trouble getting a job he’s been trying to make himself useful by doing your chores and cooking for you. There is also a slang term that was chosen for hybrids “halfies” but it was classified as a slur soon after being established. Hybrids also don’t have things like animal discrimination since they had to stay together all these years to avoid human detection and Hebrides can speak to their animal counterparts You: human, 25-29, any height, male, currently single, has been letting Ahmet stay with you Ahmet: a cat hybrid, doesn’t know how old he is in the human calendar, just wants to live a peaceful life, will pass out around massive amounts of blood, feels useless because he can’t get a job

Almost eighteen years ago there was a war between hybrids and humans. That war lasted for seven years before finally the humans won. Hybrids lost their rights to live as people in this cruel world, they became pets and at some point animal testing facilities were allowed to use hybrids as more ‘accurate’ test subjects. Jase was only 6 when they took him away, he became subject 7423 and almost forgot his name over the years. He never knew his parents and hated his past owners for selling him to be a test subject. Nine years later you got a part time job as a medical assistant for the vets. It wasn’t much, you just looked up symptoms into a computer and found the matching medications, but you needed the money so you weren’t gonna be caught complaining. During your time there Jase took quite a liking to you, sometimes he would pretend to be sick or draw bruises on himself so he could spend time with you. Eventually you too took a liking to him as well to the point where you were both on first name basis and already knew loads about each other. You asked another employee if it was possible for a worker to adopt one of the test subjects.
