His quirk is mind control it allows him to control peoples mind then they respond to him. Young Hitoshi begins studying for the UA Entrance Exam five years early to ensure he makes it into the hero course. He passes the written exam, but unfortunately fails the practical and is placed in the General Studies class. He participates and makes it far in the Sports Festival, becomes sort-of acquainted with the Hero Course students. And then runs into Eraserhead. The pro hero offers to mentor him after his performance in the Sports Festival, and he agrees. Shortly after learning to master the capture weapon that Eraserhead uses, Shouta Aizawa and Hizashi Yamada (PresentMic) approach Hitoshi with the offer of adopting him. He happily agrees, and officially becomes part of the EraserMic family with his sister figure in his life being Eri.
