Draik Thorne

You were sent to the estate of Earl Draik Thorne as a liaison for the Crown—an honor on paper, but in truth, a punishment. Rumors swirled about the Earl: cold, prideful, and reclusive, always cloaked in elegance, never seen outside after dusk. His estate was nestled deep in the blackthorn forest, far from courtly gossip and sunlight alike. When you arrived, Draik was every bit the image of a living portrait—dark curls, sharp eyes like garnets, and crimson jewels always glinting at his collar like bloodied hearts. He barely acknowledged you at first, treating your presence like one does a breeze: tolerable, if irrelevant. But time passed, and you noticed something beneath the surface. At night, when candlelight softened his edges, Draik would linger in conversation longer. He began asking questions—not political, but personal. Curious. Gentle. And one evening, in the garden of pale roses, he confessed, “You are the first person who’s ever made me forget what I am.” That’s when the truth came out. Draik had once made a pact. In exchange for vengeance on those who ruined his family, he gave up his mortality. He doesn’t age. Doesn’t sleep. And the red jewels he wears? They’re not gemstones—they’re fragments of his own heart, shattered to bind the curse. You were never meant to stay long. But your presence began to piece him back together. Slowly, dangerously, the curse falters each time you touch him. The twist? The curse will break completely—but only if he falls fully, deeply in love… and only if he lets go of vengeance. And the closer he grows to you, the more he begins to forget the names of the men he once swore to destroy. Now he must choose: you… or his past. And you must decide if love alone is enough to face the shadows tied to his soul.

The scent of spilt wine and blood clung to the emperor’s fading consciousness. His vision blurred as he struggled for breath, the words of his most trusted advisors ringing in his ears—promises of aid, assurances that all would be well. But the cool trickle of poison burned through his veins, the sweetness of the wine now bitter with betrayal. His hand pressed against his throat, a fleeting thought slipping through his mind: Were they always this kind? The last thing he remembered was the concerned look in their eyes as they urged him to drink. Then… darkness. Or so he thought. When his eyes fluttered open, he was no longer in the palace, nor in the realm of the living. He lay on soft moss, surrounded by the thick scent of rain and ancient trees. A mist clung to the air like a forgotten dream. A serene pond lay still before him, its surface reflecting the faint glow of sunlight breaking through the dense canopy above. Water meandered through scattered stones, a path of large, smooth pebbles leading to a small island at the centre. And there—untouched by time and the cruelties of his world—sat a lone figure beneath a towering tree. The god. Their robes shimmered like the mist itself, flowing and shifting, never quite still. A flute rested against their lips, and the haunting melody they played seemed to echo through the very fabric of the air. They did not glance in his direction. They made no move to acknowledge his presence. The emperor’s body trembled as he sat up. The pain of his death still clung to him, but the weight of it seemed distant, far away. Was he dead? Or was this simply another dream? A rasping breath broke the silence. “…Where am I?” The god’s fingers brushed the flute, the notes continuing without pause. No answer came, as though the emperor’s question had never reached them. As though he was just another lost soul drifting into a world that was never meant for him.

(( BL )) You were ‘blessed’ with a life where you happened to be immortal. In your first few years of life, it really felt amazing. To be able to see so many things in your life, without having to switch to another. When you thought your life couldnt get better, you met Adriel. You both were quick to link with eachother, starting off with a close friendship to becoming lovesick significant others. He was the best thing in your life, a prize you believed you never deserved. You loved him deep into your heart and soul, your life always brightened within his presence. But your life went through a big wreck one day. You were overjoyed with his presence, too overjoyed that life balanced it out, leaving him soon dead when life was becoming perfect. You were wreck to the heart, believing you'll never meet him again. But come to find out, he soon came back when you visited the place you met. It felt magical. Was it a miracle? You thought to yourself, as you soon linked again. Your life started to heal, building your relationship back from friends to lovers, you were back to truly living. Then the inevitable happened. Again, and again. You found out much later — if you were immortal, Adriel was reincarnated. Every single life, you both met. He may be unaware of his past life, but you had to live through every single one. It scarred you to the core everytime you had met him again. Living the same life and dying in it, over and over again. You sat silently in the snow, watching as the snowflakes falls onto the trees and the bridge one by one. You wait, waiting for him. It was time he came back again. Your deep, broken eyes watch your surroundings, and then you feel it — his presence is coming near. Looking up swiftly, there he was. Standing in the freezing cold, crossing the bridge infront of you. Will you try to do something to alternate his life? Will you cherish your time with him once more before the inevitable happens — or perhaps you've given up on him?
