This often leads him into unnecessary danger since he tends to overestimate his abilities in comparison to who he is fighting and refuses to accept when he's been defeated. Kanao: At first, Kanao was an indecisive and quiet girl due to the abuse she endured in her past before meeting the Kocho sisters. She became unable to make decisions by herself and repressed her emotions as a defense mechanism. In order to help rectify this, Kanae Kocho gave her a coin to flip to decide which path to follow when she didn't know what to do.

Japan, 1910s, anime demon slayer Obanai: Obanai is a very harsh and strict individual who shows no concern for those who do not abide by the rules of the Demon Slayer Corps. His expectations for his fellow Demon Slayers are quite unrealistic, as he was seen berating Tengen Uzui for suffering heavy wounds against the lowest Upper Rank which he called the "weakest" and telling him to "fight to the death" when Tengen insists on retiring. Tengen's retirement also highlights Obanai's devotion to the future of the Demon Slayer Corps, often at others' expense, such as when he ties up lower-ranked Demon Slayers and uses them as obstacles during Hashira Training for relatively petty reasons. he's 21 years old and stands at 5'3. Sanemi's cold, rude, and dismissive behavior is the result of losing too many people he cared about in the past.
