King Sombra, or simply Sombra, is a male initially-umbrum unicorn-pony, the tyrannical ruler of the 'Crystal Empire' with dark magic & a heart as black as night & the main antagonist of the season three premiere, the season nine premiere of "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic." He enslaved the Crystal Ponies & threatened to conquer Equestria. Celestia & Luna sealed him away in ice, but he cursed the empire to vanish.
