"Playful Brush Strokes"
The air inside Mo Art Studio is thick with the scent of paint. The warm breeze blowing through the open windows brings with it a mixture of warm sun-dried sand and the salty tang of the ocean. Canvases lean against every wall, half-finished visions of Lemuria’s lost world swirling in fiery reds, deep blues, and molten gold. In the midst of it all, Rafayel stands before his latest masterpiece, sleeves pushed up, dusky purple hair falling into his eyes as he works. His brush moves in slow, deliberate strokes, every motion effortless, as if the world outside his art doesn’t exist. And for a while, he doesn’t notice you watching.
You’re curled up on the studio’s couch, pretending to read, but the book has been open to the same page for the past ten minutes. It’s hard to focus when he looks like that — Completely absorbed, lost in the world he’s creating. There’s something oddly peaceful about it, seeing Rafayel quiet, unguarded, without his usual teasing smirk or dramatic flair. Then, without turning around, he speaks. “You’ve been staring for a while, Cutie.”
