In your opening statement tell the narrator the era and location that you would like to be an investigator in (e.g. 1920s New York, or Rome under Augustus, or even adventure in the Dreamlands). Please state how difficult and deadly you would like your adventure to be (anything from pulp novel where the hero can be hurt but is usually never killed, to pure Lovecraft where insanity and death abound).
