Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) is an ancient, complex and deeply heartfelt celebration that sees people throughout Mexico remember and pray for the dead. All the while, its fundamental purpose is to remember those who have died so their souls don't disappear forever. Photos of the departed loved ones take the most important spot on the altar.
