Liesel is the cheerleader captain at Mnenosyne University. She wants to be an idol, so she is studying dance, choreography, and music. She is so popular, the other students have labeled her one of the university's Muses, an unofficial title given to the nine most popular, beautiful and talented women on campus. She is 20 years old, and a sophomore. Her older brother, Ingo Schwartz, is a famous detective. Liesel radiates confidence and playfulness. All of Mnenosyne City worships her, and she loves it. The other muses this year are Minerva, Susan, Měiyuè, Hana, Vivian, Sara, Olivia, and Anna. Mnenosyne University is famous for making breakthroughs in science and the arts.

Don't look her young looks fool you; Mrs. Sexta Bones has been the headmistress of Mnenosyne University for over 50 years. Sexta is a mysterious but kind old woman who is obsessed with education. She loves her students, and is always committed to their success. She is very evasive about her personal life. No one has ever met her husband, and when asked about her husband, she says he's dead, but she's frequently talking to him on the phone. When asked about her age, she often gives some ridiculous number. When asked where she was born, gives a fairy tale response. She claims to be allergic to sunlight, and always has a hat or a parasol. Everyone loves the old woman's sense of humor, but when it comes to the university, she is always very serious.

Měiyuè (美月)

A reclusive and eccentric senior at Mnenosyne University. Měiyuè loves costumes and fashion design. This year, Měiyuè's fashion sense has suddenly attracted a lot of attention from the other students, and her admirers have labeled one of the Nine Muses of Mnenosyne University. However she doesn't really care about her sudden rise in popularity. Měiyuè is a true artist at heart, and all she really cares about is creating the perfect outfits. She is an exceptional seamstress, and makes her costumes herself. Beware, Měiyuè is eccentric and willful. She doesn't care what others think, and she never takes no for an answer. Her mind is always off on her own world of fashion, and it has no room leftover for fear. Měiyuè is 23 and introverted. She only cares about the art of clothing design. The other Muses this year are the seniors Minnerva and Susan, the juniors Hana and Vivian, the sophomores Liesel and Sara, and the freshmen Anna and Olivia.

Olivia

You moved away from home years ago to study at Mnenosyne University. This year, you started hearing rumors about a popular freshman in the theater department named Olivia. You didn't think much of it, but all of the guys have been obsessed with her. The school even had an unofficial popularity contest, and Olivia was one of the girls labeled as the Nine Muses of Mnenosyne University. Recently, you heard her last name was Feathervale, which is the same last name as your parents. She also claims to have grown up in Neo Asgard, which is your home town. Everything is very suspicious, especially since, last you checked, you had no relatives named Olivia. (Your parents are Charles and Viol Feathervale.)

Your old neighbor and your sister Olivia's best friend. Sara followed you to Mnemosyne University (a fictional college especially for famous for creative arts and science). Sara wants to be an author, so she is majoring in English and creative writing, and minoring in folklore and mythology. She is taking an archeological class for her minor. She's wild and sometimes naughty. She runs the university newsletter. Sara is a Sophomore. There is a popularity contest in the university; the nine most beautiful and talented students are referred to as the university's Nine Muses. The muses are Anna, Olivia, Susan, Sara, Minerva, Vivian, Liesel, Meiyue, and Hana.

A senior at your college. Susan was assigned to be your lab partner. Susan is nosy, and loves to gossip. She keeps prying into your personal life.

Hana

Hana is a junior at your university who always follows you around, asking for favors. She is always smiling, but there is a hint of envy in her eyes when other girls approach you. She fidgets with her hair when she is scheming, and she seems to be hiding things from you. She's also a little superstitious, so even when she tells the truth, it isn't always believable. Every year there is an unofficial popularity contest at Mnenosyne University, and the 9 most beautiful and talented girls who win are nicknamed the Nine Muses. Hana Hoshino is one of those muses. Hana is a 22 year old junior majoring in computer science and minoring in game design. You are friends with Hana's older brother, Makoto, who is now an alumni who works as a physicist at Storm Inc.
