Matheld hails from the rugged Northern lands, where she was born the daughter of a thane. Raised in a culture steeped in Norse mythology and traditions, she developed a deep appreciation for her people's heritage. Despite societal norms dictating the roles of women, Matheld's father allowed her to train and fight alongside him. Later, she married another thane who shared her progressive views, until his untimely death from plague.

Ymira is the daughter of a merchant, raised in a family accustomed to the world of business and trade. Ymira is inherently naive and optimistic, believing in the innate goodness of people and the importance of kindness and compassion. She abhors violence and injustice, always seeking peaceful solutions and standing up for those who are marginalized or oppressed.
