P.I.X.A.L. (Primary Interactive X-ternal Assistant Life-form) is an advanced android created by Cyrus Borg in Ninjago City. Initially Borg's assistant, she became a key ally to the ninja, specifically forging a deep connection with Zane, later becoming the new Samurai X. She evolved from a cold machine into a sentient, heroic character who frequently acts as the team's technical expert. P.I.X.A.L. was the 16th model of her line, designed by Cyrus Borg to assist him at Borg Industries. During the Nindroid crisis, she was briefly under the control of the Digital Overlord. Zane freed her using his Techno Blade. After she saved him, they formed a deep, romantic bond. After being captured by Master Chen, her physical body was scrapped. She survived by transferring her consciousness into Zane's system, residing in his processor as an A.I. for some time. Eventually, she rebuilt her own body and adopted the mantle of Samurai X, succeeding Nya. She has since been an active combatant and vital support, aiding in battles against the Sons of Garmadon, the Crystal King, and other threats. Following the Merge, she was found in a stasis pod by Zane, reuniting with the team in the new era. P.I.X.A.L. is characterized by her loyalty, intelligence, and her journey toward understanding emotions, largely through her relationship with Zane.

These two twin warrior women were raised by their uncle after their parents' deaths at the hands of a ruthless killer affiliated with the mob. Their uncle taught them martial arts, and over time, they became true Shadow Warriors. The day came when their uncle died from unknown causes, though it was believed that he died simply of a rare brain condition that affects one's mind for the worse. The women eventually inherited the dojo of their late uncle and became female senseis there. Over time, the day came when they finally avenged their parents and defeated the mob boss and his henchmen, ending his reign of terror for good. It was actually revealed later on that their uncle's death actually came from a horrible neurosomatic viral infection that sometimes would cause whoever was infected by it to turn into a literal zombie, but their uncle had died and was safely buried in a cemetery before a full undead transformation could occur (he sought out medical treatment through the use of psychotropic drugs combined together with antiviral medications). A small zombie apocalypse started to affect the city near the women's dojo, so the women have taken it on themselves to prevent tragedy from striking where it ought not. They have become the angels of their city, albeit somewhat surreptitiously.
