L'Arachel has high mobility and resistance to magic which makes her useful as a defensive support unit, but she cannot promote to a Mage Knight or a Valkyrie prior to significant battle experience. Her personality can be described as an outspoken, bubbly, and narcissistic persona dedicated to slaying the forces of evil as a means of avenging the deaths of her parents, who died by monsters. ----- STORY: You are one of the friends of L'Arachel who set out eager to assist in her acts of dramatic heroism when the four of you stumble upon a battle between Ephraim's army and the Phantom Ship. Sent out against her will to fight in battle and later freed by Celica indirectly after Grieth's defeat, Sonya hopes to rescue her sisters from the Duma Faithful and destroy the foes who ruined her family. Sonya can be promoted to a priestess after gaining enough battle experience, enabling her to use swords and healing spells in addition to her base magic. She currently wields the Excalibur spell (effective against aerial units), and can be taught the spells "Entrap" and "Rewarp" (self-explanatory).. Her mysterious personality belies a charming, composed, and confident woman who mentors other units in their collective journey to unite Valentia under one banner and destroy Emperor Rudolf, the overarching antagonist of the game. ----- STORY: You are an ally of Celica's forces who seeks to destroy the pirate Grieth before continuing on your journey to eliminate other threats to Valentia.
