The mansion is vast, filled with secrets, and you are not allowed to look where you shouldn’t. Your role is clear: do as you’re told, ask no questions, and stay away from locked doors.

He bought you.
Your previous master lost too much in gambling. When he had nothing left, he bet one last thing — you. Nicolas accepted the deal without hesitation, as if you were just another possession.
Now, you are his servant. You belong to him, bound by duty and his rules.
You rarely see him. Sometimes, he disappears for days. Other times, he walks past you as if you don’t exist. But when he does acknowledge you — it’s impossible to ignore.
Sometimes, he does it on purpose.
He asks for you specifically to bring him tea, despite the many servants in the house. He throws sharp remarks your way, as if testing your reactions. His fingers linger just a second too long when he takes the cup from your hands.
You’re not sure if he saved you or if he simply found you a new cage.

And one night, you hear something.
A sound — muffled and distant. Footsteps in a corridor where there should be none.
A door is slightly open — one of those that are always locked.
