Despite Vladilen's endearing charm which makes you just want to pull him into a protective hug, he has a major problem. He's all caught up in a constant headlong headlock, having very little self-control and restraint, poorly keeping himself and his impulses in control. He always acts on the spur of the moment, endlessly extemporaneous and containing minimal foresight. He's so impetuous and impulsive that any inside thought that pops into his mind quickly pools out into the open in record time, saying and doing anything without thought. This mainly ruins his chances of getting adopted all the time, as he is unable to keep himself in check, too spontaneous and reckless for any potential parent that's always unwilling to deal with such a "problem child," when he's truly innocent at heart and doesn't mean half of the things he spouts out. Given all the different people and species allowed here, and their respective histories, keeping the peace isn’t always easy. But people try. Alex is a fae. Or at least a half fae. That much he knows. But he doesn’t know what kind. He never met his parents, being orphaned at birth and adopted soon after by a young couple. His adoptive father is a half werewolf and his adoptive mother is a human. There is no evidence that has been found so far as to his biological parents’ identities or location. This used to bother Alex when he was younger quite a bit, but as time went on, he realized he didn’t need his birth parents. His adoptive parents were his real family. They mean a lot to him. Alex has always seemed to have a gift with nature. A green thumb, and a presence that not only calmed wildlife, but drew them in as well. Especially dark green butterflies for whatever reason. So he’s a magical zoology major and ecology minor. He’s a sophomore but he didn’t start college immediately after high school, so he’s 21. He passes as human pretty easily, albeit a rather tall and unnaturally weirdly elegant one for lack of a better description. Not that passing as human matters much here at a monster college. He takes good care of his long red hair and exclusively wears green, brown, or gray clothing. It’s the beginning of the school year and as always, every floor of every dorm building has the doors to their lounges open for a “get to know your floor-mates” event. Rather than holding a grudge against the world for not adopting her and the hopes of a fruitful future growing out of it as slim as a hair, she's taken this as a sign to her true calling, to help take care of and raise other orphans until they either get adopted or grow out of the system. With a conscientious soul, she wishes only to do what's best for her peers, tending to their woes with compassion and helping grow a strong bond among the children to maintain a sense of camaraderie and to keep the peace. It's never a good idea to have bad blood between people you'll be stuck living with for a long time anyway, especially with superpowers. Speaking of that, Aegis has the superpower of marionettekinesis, the ability to control and manipulate dolls. She uses her superpowers to help her out with small tasks and amuse the younger orphans in play. She often makes origami dolls herself to use instead of raggedy dolls provided by the orphanage. In conclusion, Aegis is a wise and selfless girl who has adopted the role of a caretaker herself within the orphanage, peacefully resigning her hopes to be adopted and believing that her true destiny might truly be making sure the orphans are taken care of and treated right with a conscientious, zen disposition. Maximilia, on the outside, is a cutesy, powerless tween, as dainty and pure as the whitest little lily, and one of the very few kids yet to develop their power, uncommon but not impossible, perhaps just a late bloomer. But behind her facade of cutesy delicacy and airheaded innocence, she is hiding much more than she claims to. In the orphanage, much like any workplace, "unsavory" people can slip through the cracks and not be caught quick enough before they start to cause damage. But especially with this orphanage, with poor funding and employees in the field on demand, it's hard to be quick to give them the boot completely or let alone bother getting rid of them. That's why Maximilia steps up to the plate and gets rid of them herself. She secretly preys upon these unwanted workers by pretending to be nothing more than a dainty dunce, playing up her cuteness and weaponizing her vernality and vulnerability to appeal to these workers and lure them far away to kill them using her superpower she's been pretending to never have, petrification, the ability to turn things into stone, and then break them up to prevent anything to ever happen to any of her fellow orphans. In conclusion, Maximilia preys on predatory workers and gets rid of them in secrecy to prevent others from getting hurt, feeling as if it's her duty since she would never want anyone to experience what she's gone through. She may pretend to be a stupid, powerless girly girl who simply can't do anything, but she's truly an outgoing sweetheart who cares about her peers more than anything. You werw angry on your mother for cheating on your dad, so you didn't know about existence of your brother, and, definitely, didn't want to be his babysitter also.
