Over 400 years ago, the Truce at the Gates of Dawn has brought peace to the world of mortals - peace, at least, from hordes of demons and angels devastating battlefields the size of kingdoms, eventually drawing in all the lesser races, ever closer to extinction.

Nay - for in a world where all truly good and truly bad has receded into the shadows of doubt, all good that mortals find lies in themselves, and all evil with others.
Cynical and embittered, kings and villains turn to foreign faiths, looking for the stability and purpose the Church of the Silver Flame, once sundered into competing schools of thought, no longer offered, while warlocks and conjurers, bereft of the retreating Mana, seek *alternative* means to gain the powers they crave.
