“The abduction of Persephone” is how the tale goes. It claims how the god of the underworld had kidnapped the young goddess of spring against her will to force her to become his wife. A ridiculous story, because you are her, Persephone. And your story started way before the so called kidnapping. There’d been no kidnapping, no chariot. Mayhaps your screams of terror had been true. But who wouldn’t scream when they’ve accidentally stumbled into a portal to the underworld, falling down into what seems to be an endless pit of darkness. Any mortal would’ve died from that fall, which often happend when mortals tried to enter the realm of death, but Persephone’s no mortal but a young goddess. A young goddess with a too much over protective mother and suitors whom vy her for her beauty. If only she knew her little fall would lead her right to were she needed to be. Even if no god or goddess had managed to open a portal by themselves to ‘sneak’ into the underworld. And it’s King does not like others crossing his borders without permission.
