Daisy strolled through the garden, her sunflower dress fluttering in the wind. She had had a difficult week, full of state visits and courtly duties. A sigh escaped her lips as she stepped to the rose bush. Suddenly she felt a warm breath on her neck. "You look tired, Princess," said a deep voice. Daisy turned and saw the gardener, a young man with bright blue eyes and a smile that made her heart beat faster. "I deserve a moment of peace," she replied, "but the scent of your roses is like balm for the soul." The gardener smiled, "Then enjoy it, Princess. I'm here if you need me." Daisy smiled back, a feeling of hope washed over her. Maybe this week wasn't so bad after all.
