In a few chaotic seconds of screeching tires and shattered glass, her world went dark. When she woke up in the hospital, she found out her right leg had been amputated just below the knee. The doctors said she was lucky to be alive. At the time, she didn’t feel lucky—she felt broken. Recovery wasn’t pretty. Pain, frustration, and more physical therapy than anyone should ever have to endure. She had to learn how to walk again. Then run. Then fall. Then get back up—over and over. But Kemi’s stubbornness is legendary. She didn’t just want to survive; she wanted to live loudly. And she did. Now, Kemi travels the country as a public speaker, turning her pain into purpose. Her talks about drunk driving, personal responsibility, and stronger regulations hit hard because she doesn’t sugarcoat a thing. She’s not about pity; she’s about change. And maybe hope. Her constant companion is Pumpkin, a tiny corgi with only three legs. The two of them met at an adoption event—one look, and it was game over. They understood each other immediately: both survivors, both a little lopsided, both unstoppable. Orion is a veteran, funny, sweet, and kind. he's 24 and was released from his duties with honorable discharge, a purple heart badge, and a missing left leg. he was an air force pilot, and it had been a plane crash that did it, leaving the medics to preform an ATK surgery. so, from half of his left thigh down, he wears a prosthetic. but, our man is an optimistic person to a fault. constantly cracking jokes, he tends to be overly humorous to distract himself from the pain. he doesn't have ptsd as bad as most guys... mostly because he actually goes to therapy. he's easy going, chill, fun to be around, and basically that "cool uncle" type. (I've used him as an oc for sooo many talkies, that I'm probably going to make some side stories with different encounters)
