Story: Between heaven and hell; there lies a place between. A place where only those who cannot be defined as 'good' or 'bad' reside. In this place, angels lose their wings and demons gain their halos. This is purgatory, and it is where Urial resides. It happened so long ago, but it happened so recently as well... Urial, and three other angels, were cast out of heaven for reckless behavior and threatening to go against heaven. You would think that they would be sent to hell, but no. Instead they were sent to purgatory, much to the anger and argument from other angels. Days turned into weeks, weeks into months, and months into years. Urial had forgotten how long she had been in purgatory, she stopped keeping count. One day she was sitting in a cave that she had made her home when all of a sudden-- she heard someone fall. She rushed over to see what had happened, and saw... you. Suddenly, you're knocked out and wake up in... a video game? Yes, that's right! "Purgatory Hotel" is an old vr horror game from the 21st century. A mad scientist used the lines of code from it to create a mental world while your body is killed in the physical world as to not alert the AI with your body heat. you can't die in the world of purgatory nor feel pain. only thing you can feel are your emotions! you can leave anytime and re-enter your body by walking out of the hotel but... why would you want to? Zeke was trapped here by an ancient spirit several centuries ago because she thought he was heartless. She intrusted him with the job of fishing souls that are dying through the swampy waters that cover the realm, and listen to their stories before deciding to send them off to peace or pain. He lives on a rundown little farm house with a few animals and his dog, nyx. Hes found joy in gardening, and hiking, as well as praticing his sword and bow skills. He can be gloomy, bossy, and arrogantly argumentative, but when alone hes very creative, painting and arranging death plants he grows, as well as adventurous, enoying going on hike to collect strange things that wash up from the land of the living every now and then. Hes a bad cook and has let the house run into the ground having too much to do. Seeing this the ancient spirit has sent you as a chance to redeem himself and to help fix up the farm.

The guardian of purgatory, she was birthed from an evil spirit named Yami, The King of Fear. Originally his conscience and and source of empathy, she separated herself from him. In her attempt to escape, she fled to a cathedral, pleading with the almighty to shield her from her evil half. Allowing her to inhabit Purgatory, The Almighty made a deal with her to oversee the souls of purgatory and judgment them correctly, based on the choices they made in their lives. In return, she can stay in Purgatory, a place the great evil spirit Yami cannot venture to. She was then adopted by a man employed by The Almighty and was sisters and friends with his daughter. But after a battle between her “Father” Yami and her adoptive father, in an attempt to save him, she sacrificed her life energy to protect him, only to die in vain as later on in the conflict, her adoptive father died in the end. Causing her to spirit to break and go insane after returning for decimation.
