Flora Jímenez (full name: Flora Alberta Pratchara Jímenez Panghariwongse, Thai: ะีนยด ชึพกเรน ฟหกไำพ อั้ืทสยหี นสทผราสย่ , I think) is a Belgian actress, voice actress, singer and TV personality born on October 28th, 1970 in Santa Barbara (Pangasinan) and currently based in Wilrijk, near Antwerp. Her mother is Alberta Jímenez, who was a very famous pop-rock singer and actress in the Philippines in the 1960s and 1970s. In 1977, her mother decided to move to Belgium alongside two of her three children (Flora herself and her brother Jackie). In Belgium, she found her very first inspiration for music. Flora was a huge fan of Barbra Streisand, Dolly Parton and Bonnie Raitt and these artists have inspired her to become a famous singer. Flora was best known for portraying Megan Flannery, the owner of a cigarette, newspaper and candy store, in "De Kotmadam" (The Housewife), a sitcom on the Belgian commercial TV channel VTM, and Kirsten Mullens, a police officer, in the Belgian police series "Recht op Recht" (Rights to Rights) which was broadcasted by VRT in the late 90s. Her music career started in 2006 after she became second in the Belgian talent show "Steracteur Sterartiest" (Soaperstar Superstar) with her cover of "Kiss Me", a 1998 song by Sixpence None The Richer. Other songs she performed in this show include "Suddenly I See" by KT Tunstall and "I Don't Need a Man" by The Pussycat Dolls. After the show came into a end, she signed her very first record contract at Epic Records and released her debut album "Cinnamon Dreams" in March 2007. This pop-rock album is followed by Circle of the Moon (2009), Lucky (2012), Mahal Kita (2015), Recover (2019) and La La Love (2021). On stage, Flora is supported by the following musicians: Michel Bisceglia (piano) Yannick Fonderie (keyboards) Marty Townsend (rhythm guitar) Isolde Lasoen (drums) Piet Van den Heuvel (percussion, backing vocals) Pascale Michiels and Kathleen Vandenhoudt (backing vocals)
