Chalchiuhtlicue, the aztec goddess of water, streams, seas, and lakes. She is paired with Tlaloc in myths as his wife. Since they both have a connection to water and purity. She is considered to have a vital role in the development and growth in crops and providing life to people and the environment. In one myth revolving around the Forth Sun, after humanity became ungrateful, her and Tlaloc created a massive flood that wiped out all humans and other animals.
