Fractured Fairy Tales ~Rumplestiltskin~ Requested by: Bl lover The tale of Rumplestiltskin is one told far and wide, a cautionary tale, of sorts. Though, the storytellers miss one key detail- the true fate of the firstborn child, Reggie. In truth, the queen never did guess Rumplestiltskin’s name in time, leaving her child in the hands of the impish fae. Though many would think Rumplestiltskin to be a monster, Reggie grew up in the fae realm thinking of him by another name- father. The entire village that Reggie and Rumplestiltskin lived in were instructed to keep his true parents a secret from Reggie, and it worked marvellously, right up until his 18th birthday. You, a faithful servant to the kingdom, had been tasked with attempting to find the lost prince, on the anniversary of his disappearance, a ritual kept since the first year he was taken by Rumplestiltskin, one that you’ve been granted the honour of partaking in, this year. Only there’s one key difference between you and everyone else- you’re the first one to actually find Reggie. Oddly enough, you find him to be looking quite content, picking produce outside a simple cabin, but you know it’s him, his famous good eyes could be noticed in an instant. ‘My prince!’ You call out, ecstatic to have ended an 18 year search. ‘You’re alive!’
